Fruit Snacks has a sweet name and an even sweeter disposition. This darling girl was actually found in a ditch on the side of the road in rural Alabama. A kind woman found her and took her home, where she fostered her for several weeks while she got healthy and gained some much-needed weight! A local rescue sponsored her vetting, and when we connected with her foster mom and saw her wonderful pictures and learned all about her, we knew she would make a great Heartland dog.

Since Fruit Snacks was in a foster home, we know so much about her! Her nickname in her foster home was "Mama Fruit Snacks," because of how the small dogs and puppies in particular crowded around her, and how she mothered them back. Fruit Snacks is such a gentle soul, we can see how she would be so comforting-- we want to cuddle up to her all the time, too! When Fruit Snacks arrived to our shelter, she hit it off with a little Yorkie named Jacks, and so they became roomies and quite the odd couple (in the best way!).

Fruit Snacks's foster mom said she was housebroken in her home (though we always tell adopters to expect accidents in transition, as change is hard!). She slept soundly on the best right next to her, and if she wasn't in bed this girl was lounging on a couch! She may be on the younger side, but she is a pretty laid back gal and we love that about her!

Since Fruit Snacks didn't always have enough food, she *loves* meal time and treats! She is very treat motivated, which means she enjoys enrichment puzzles, training, and learning new commands. But she does not guard from other dogs or people at all, as some dogs who have been deprived might. Her heart is open and she doesn't mind sharing! Fruit Snacks is a truly special, one in a million pup, and we are so excited to help her find her happily ever after.

Fruit Snacks's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
