Caribe is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours!
One-year-old Caribe arrived with her four five-day-old puppies from Chicago Animal Care and Control before Christmas. Caribe was a diligent momma who took the very best care of her little ones! The pups are now independent and Caribe is ready to find a home that showers her with all the love and attention she deserves!
Caribe is a 100% dog. She plays hard. She loves hard. She even sleeps hard. Whatever this girl is doing she is giving it her all! After spending two months with us, everyone at Heartland has become pretty attached to her and we can't say enough good things about her! She is the perfect mix of playful and loving. She loves playing fetch, getting the zoomies in the yard, doing enrichment puzzles, and tossing her favorite toys around. Caribe also believes she is a lap dog and will hop right in your lap to soak up the snuggles
What might be the most endearing part of her is the love that she has for people and her pups! When someone walks through the door her whole body wiggles and she can't contain her excitement! Besides loving people, she adores her pups! Most momma dogs get sick of the puppies around 5-6 weeks old, not Caribe, they are her best pals! She is very tolerant of them and to this day still loves to run around the yard with them, play tug, and give them love!
Caribe is truly a one in a million dog and everyone at Heartland is ready to see her find a home that loves her just as much as we do!
Caribe's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
