Barbados is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours!
Precious two-month-old Barbados came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control at just five days old with his three siblings and amazing mom, Caribe. He has spent the last two months getting showered with love and attention and is now ready to move on to his forever family!
Barbados loves to be loved and truly just wants to be close to you! As expected, he has plenty of puppy energy and loves to romp with the best of them, but when he finally tires out he is seeking a comfy human, or a sibling, to cuddle up with and soak up the love! On top of his extremely sweet demeanor, he has the most gorgeous eyes! They have stayed very light and he has learned how to use them to get his way.
If you are looking for a pup that wants to be the center of your world, look no further than Barbados!
Barbados' adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.
They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.
Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
