On the west coast of Puerto Rico, a tiny puppy was born in an unexpected place of kindness — a convent. The nuns who cared for her had seen our humane education program and reached out, asking if we could help. Of course, the answer was yes.
Now this little soul has joined our classroom, where she is surrounded by gentle hands, curious students, and the promise of a different life. One more vaccine will complete her medical protocol, and soon she’ll board a plane with one of our pilots bound for Virginia Beach — where her forever home is waiting.
As Easter approaches, her story feels especially meaningful. Easter is about renewal, hope, and new beginnings after hardship. It reminds us that compassion, even in the smallest acts, can change a life.
From a convent in Puerto Rico…
to a classroom of young humane leaders…
to a flight toward a forever home.
Rescue is often complicated, but sometimes it’s simply this: people choosing kindness when it’s needed most.
This little Easter story is just beginning. Just wait til you see her pictures from the flight deck! Arriving 3rd week of March ❤️

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
