Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in St. Stephen, New Brunswick

We are looking for a loving home for our sweet Daisy. This has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make, but with changing dynamics within our home we feel this will give Daisy the best chance to thrive in life.

Daisy is 3 years old and was adopted at 10 weeks from CCSPCA. She is a mix of a multitude of breeds — we believe she has herding/working breed in her. She is a smaller mid-sized dog weighing only 35 lbs.

Daisy is timid but very loving, and affection seeking. She would benefit from a home that can stimulate both her mind and body while also providing the attention and affection she craves.

Unfortunately, the dynamic with Daisy’s older sibling has changed drastically over the last year, and it has become an environment that has increased Daisy’s anxiety twofolds. She no longer feels safe in her own home, and this has resulted in her increased timidness and reactiveness toward our older dog.

She could thrive in a home with other dogs, but it would really have to be the right personality. She has developed some resource guarding tendencies so she would need to be in home with an owner that has experience with this.

Daisy really is such a special girl. You need to experience her to understand her. She is full of so much love to give.

Ideal home:
* A family with a fenced-in backyard where she can run freely OR a large piece of land
* A home committed to daily walks
* A home with no young children
* A family with lots of patience to work on building her obedience & confidence
* Ideally someone who works from home
* Someone experienced with dogs

Medication notes:
* Daisy takes two medications to help her anxiety - Fluoxetine & Gabapentin.

Daisy will stay with her family until a great match is found. We wil be helping her family by sending those we feel are a match along to them.
