Katie is a seven-month-old spayed shepherd mix who is still figuring life out—and doing so at her own quiet pace. She’s 47 pounds of pure cuddly gentleness, with a soft presence that draws you in.
She’s an extremely lovable, affectionate, gentle puppy with a timid, shy nature. Katie isn’t bold but when it comes to belly rubs she knows wants. Once she feels safe, she melts into affection and loves being close to her humans.
Katie plays well with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with an older, confident dog who can help her build confidence and show her the ropes. She walks nicely on leash without pulling, knows how to sit, and is working on learning more commands.
One of Katie’s sweetest quirks: she’s not always a fan of the word “come,” but she’s learned a solution—she’ll happily cross the room to "boop" your hand if you ask her to.
Katie may take a little time to warm up to new situations, but patience and consistency go a long way with her. In a quieter, understanding home, she’s going to grow into a deeply loyal, devoted companion.
Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
