DESCRIPTION

Finn - Male - Adult
Born approx Feb 2025

Finn, simply put, is a teddy bear in a dog’s body!

He appears to be a Border Collie mix (with something a little larger), and is approximately one year old. He weighs 55lbs and is 24 inches tall at the shoulders. He has striking markings and is a very handsome boy as you can see.

Finn is house trained and will go to the back door to alert you that he wants out. There have been no accidents in the house! He has spent up to 5 hours in a crate when his humans were at work. He then transitioned to a laundry room, where he would whine a little to start, but then settled down. Now, after building trust, he has free roam of his foster’s house along with the resident dog. There have been no issues.

He gets along well with other dogs and respects their boundaries. His foster brother is a smaller senior and doesn’t want to play as much as Finn would like, which he respects. He has not been around many other dogs or cats in his foster home, but every indication is that he would do well with them.

Finn loves being around his people and will curl up beside you on the couch. He will sleep a full 8 hours at bed time. He is also great at amusing himself, and will pull out all of his toys and play for hours.

He walks very well on a leash with minimal pulling. Finn is very smart and a quick learner. He knows his basic commands, and picked up “shake a paw” very quickly. He responds well to a simple “no” for any corrections.

Finn is a very good boy, and whomever adopts him will be very lucky!

Adoption fee is $295. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
