Goose was found as a stray by one of our previous adopters. Or we should say, he found her! After scanning him for a microchip we were able to track down an owner. We learned that he had actually just been adopted from a local shelter the day before and this person didn't seem to be in the best position to be caring for a pet at the moment. So we registered him as a found stray with the county where he was found and his stray hold officially ended today! As we suspected would be the case, the owner didn't make any efforts to reclaim him despite being contacted by the shelter.
Goose is about 18 months old and just under 60 lbs. He's just about the happiest boy around! Great with all dogs and he loves to run and play with his new friends! Once he's done romping in the yard with his friends, he loves to settle in on the deck right at Foster Mom's feet and just take in his surroundings. He's looking for an active family with a fenced yard and another dog for him to play with. Goose has truly “never met a stranger”, so he is the perfect companion for walks on the beltline or lunch on the patio of your favorite restaurant.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
