Hi there I'm Fabby!

I started my life on the streets of Mexico, doing my best to figure things out on my own. Then one big day, everything changed-I made a long journey all the way to Minnesota. I am only six months old, so even though I have already seen a lot, I am still very much a baby learning how to feel safe in the world.

When I first arrived at my foster home, I was really, really scared. New places and new people can feel overwhelming when you have had to be on your own for so long. But here is the special thing about me-I want to trust. It just takes me a little time. I picked my foster dad first, and within a couple of days I was cuddling right up to him. It took me about a week to warm up to my foster mom, but now I love her too.

Once I feel safe, my sweet side really shines. I love gentle affection, and I have the softest way of being close to you. I also get along wonderfully with cats-my foster cat brothers get little sniffs and even some kisses from me. I think they are pretty great.

I should also mention... I have a tiny bit of sass. If you scold me, I might give you a little "excuse me!" bark back. It is all part of my charm

One thing that helps me feel brave is having another dog around. I really look to my dog friends for guidance, and I bond closely with them. Because of that, I need a home with a confident dog sibling who can show me the ropes and help me learn that the world is not such a scary place.

I would do best in a calm, patient home where things are predictable and gentle. Sudden movements can still make me nervous, so older, dog-savvy kids might be okay, but a quieter household would help me feel my best. With time, love, and reassurance, I might blossom into a more outgoing girl-but right now, I am just a tender-hearted pup learning how to be safe.
