Westley - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Meet Westley (ACCT-A-254438), a gentle and quiet soul looking for her forever home. Westley can be a little shy at first, but once she knows she is safe, her true personality shines through. She is incredibly sweet, cuddly, and loves to offer gentle kisses and soft tail wags to her favorite people.

Westley recently spent some time in a shelter office, where she proved to be a wonderful companion. She spent her nights in a crate and kept it perfectly spotless, showing great potential for house-training. During the day, she greeted everyone with a loose, wiggly body and soft, happy eyes. While she can be a little jumpy when she is excited to see you, she is always gentle about it.

She is a fan of the outdoors and handles transitions well, even leaning into pets and handling with ease. Westley has also met other dogs and showed a tolerant, timid curiosity. If you are looking for a soft-hearted friend who will happily curl up in a dog bed by your side, Westley might be the perfect match for you!

Brought Westley into the office for some time out of kennel and socialization. Set up the large x pen around the crate to give her more room to stretch her legs. Whenever we would leave the office she laid in the bed we placed in there. Everytime we would come back to the off she would greet us with a loose wiggly body and soft eyes, gently jumping up on the x pen. Leans into all handling. Easy to carry in and out of the building to the yards. Can be a little jumpy however very gentle about it. She spent the night in the crate and when I came in this morning the crate was spotless! She greeted me with a loose wiggly body and soft eyes and went potty outside.

Meeting BenG: timid, sniffed, tolerant of being sniffed.
In kennel was backing away, whale eye, lip licks, picked up slowly and carried outside. Sat in my Lap for a bit then was on the ground. Slowly began moving around, pooped outside. When I approached to pick her up again, she gave me a kiss on my hand and a low fluttering tail wag.
