Shortcake is a young pup with a big heart and so much potential. She was found as a stray and sadly no one reclaimed, but she is ready to find a new forever home. Right now, she can be a bit nervous and is still learning about the world, but beneath that uncertainty is a total sweetheart who truly wants to connect. With patience, kindness, and a gentle approach, we know Shortcake will begin to blossom.
Shortcake would do best in a home with children ages 8 and up who can respect her boundaries and go at her pace as she gains confidence. She may also be open to living with other animals, as long as introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully.
If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
