Daisy and Quill leashed meet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTL1s4R2ytY
Behavior Notes:
Per staff 7/3/26: Kennel Presentation: standing in the back, slowly walked forward frontal position, ears erect, tail down and still. Quiet, wide eyes dilated pupils. Eating cheese, used a food lure to leash.
Leash Skills: walked on a loose leash. Air scenting towards people while walking by them. Walked with a hunched body, staying Lower to the ground
Sociability: aloof at first, would come over for treat then move away. Once I sat down he rubbed on me like a cat, and began soliciting more and more attention. With myself and the second handler were able to touch him on his back head, neck and sides after we gave him a few treats and we did some behaviors like sit and he was very loose middle tail, wagging, loosely, attentive, gentle, taking treats
Play: no interest in the toy
Dog Interaction: he met Daisy on leash, pulled hard towards her, was bouncy, moving in circles around the handler tail came up to middle loosely wagging, we saw her as soon as we got outside and did the Meet, and he noticeably loosened up and relaxed as soon as he saw her.
Return to Kennel: easy
Color Level: blue
Recommendations and considerations: go slow, use treats, allow him to approach on his terms and he warms up fast
Per staff 7/2/26: Was called up for a behavior dog in the intake lobby. He was standing with the finder with loose body, mid tail slowly swaying, soft eyes and ears forward. I offered a treat and he ate it. Tossed a few in the air and he caught each one. Treat lure to leash and dropped treats on the ground to removed clip leash that was the finders. Walked on a loose leash to dog intake. Heavy panting, wide eyes and some drooling. He continued to eat treats and knows sit and paw. I was able to gently pet down his side and even remove some tuffs of fur. Double leashed with the ACA lead for vaccines. Placed cream cheese on the door and he was able to get two of the shots. When the nurse attempted the microchip he yelped, turned and lunged at the nurse (not making contact). Attempted to scan to see if the chip was administered and he did a slow head turned, side eyed and lip curled. ACA lead was able to clip and remove her leash as i did not feel like he needed two leash to walk back to kennel. Clipped the leash and he went right into kennel without issues and removed the leash.
Per staff 7/2/26: Tried to bite Shy twice. First when she tried to scan him then a second time when she was attempting to instruct finders to come into lobby. Also stated he proceeded to growl at her whenever she was near.
Per staff 7/2/26: Was flagged as a possible behavior dog, unsure of behaviors displayed but putting on evaluate for now until he is evaled. Was able to be vaccinated.
Per staff 7/2/26:
BAR, likes cream cheese and sliced cheese. Did okay with first 2 vaccines and turned/barked/tried to chomp at me when attempting microchip. Called off the rest of check in as to not trigger him more.
Per finder 7/2/26: Fine around strangers and overall friendly and scared.
