Sweet Oreo is looking for a temporary foster home through our Safety Net Program while her owners get on their feet. Oreo's parents recently lost their home and have already made the very difficult decision to rehome another pet. They really do not want to lose Oreo as well and are doing everything they can to find pet friendly housing so that the family can stay together. We are anticipating that Oreo will need to be in foster care for 2 months.
Oreo is 10-years-young and has lived with one family her whole life. She's a real "family" dog. Her parents say that when their human kids were babies, she would sleep next to the crib! Oreo has also lived with a chihuahua and a cat before, and has made many other animal friends over the course of her life -- from puppies on up! While well meaning, she does get excited when she sees new friends out and about and will typically bark.
The recent transition has been tough for Oreo, and her parents anticipate that she will be more anxious without them around. We're seeking a foster home in a low-traffic environment that can help Oreo adjust to life without mom and dad for just a little while. As her parents put it, "She just wants to be loved."

This dog is not currently in PAWS care. We would plan to schedule an intake appointment once we have an interested foster home.
