Nyx - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Behavior Notes:
Per staff 7/8/26: Kennel Presentation: At the front of the kennel with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail. Tossed a treat in and he quickly ate it. Snatchy taking treats.

Leash Skills: Right in the front of the crate pushing at the door lightly with a loose body. Tossed treats to the back to get leash in. Dropped treats on the ground for him to leash up. Came out and immediately started to leash bite. Was able to distract him with tossing treats onto the ground. Walked on a loose leash after. Nose to the ground taking in all the smells.

Sociability: Leaned into all handling, with loose body and soft eyes. Can get jumpy. Snatchy with treats, best to toss them! Knows sit.

Play: Played with a toy by him self. Then pick up the dragging leash and ran around with it.

Dog Interaction: Met Sweetie pie through the kennels. Tense body, high stiff tail and began barking with a light muzzle punch. Then Met momma joy. Hard staring with tense body. Did air snap when she zoomed by him. Turned her around, distracting with treats for him to sniff. He pulled hard, not attempting to sniff just pull towards her face.

Return to Kennel: Had the leash clipped while walking through the kennels. Tossed a few treats in the crate and he went right in. Slipped leash off.

Color Level: Blue

Per staff 7/6/26: Loose wiggly body language, easily leashed, allowed pets, a stray cat ran up to him and he was neutral. Got into truck on his own. Removed one stray confined dog from location. Caller stated dog was loose behind the houses on the block
