Meet Kyler (ACCT-A-246691), a gentle soul looking for a patient and loving forever home. If you're looking for a low-key companion who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, Kyler might just be the perfect match for you!
Kyler is a sweet, mellow boy who takes a little bit of time to get to know his new human friends. When he first meets someone, he is polite and thoughtful, preferring to take in his surroundings before asking for attention. However, don't let his initial shyness fool you-once he warms up to you, he is a total sweetheart! He has shown that he absolutely loves receiving affection, and he is a big fan of tasty treats, which he takes quite nicely.
One of the best things about Kyler is his playful spirit. While he usually prefers a relaxed pace, he absolutely lights up when a toy is involved. Whether it's a squeaky stuffy or a bouncy tennis ball, Kyler loves to show off his playful side. He's also an expert at relaxing; he has been known to spend his time enjoying the sunshine, happily lounging on a comfy cushion in the yard.
Kyler is a wonderful walker who stays right by your side, making him a great partner for calm, easygoing strolls. He is currently dealing with a mild limp, so he would appreciate a family who can provide him with a comfortable space to rest and perhaps a bit of extra TLC while he heals.
He is a polite gentleman who responds well to gentle guidance and is very food-motivated, which makes him a joy to work with. He's looking for a calm environment where he can feel safe, build confidence, and share his gentle heart with someone who truly cares.
Are you the special someone Kyler has been waiting for? Come by and meet this wonderful boy today-you might just find your new best friend!

NOTES
04/04/2026:
Kennel Presentation: laying on his bed. I approached the kennel and he slowly stood up. He kept all four paws on the ground. I opened the doors, he ears were back and wide eyed. He stood still as I leased him. He slowly exited the kennel. Leash Skills: walks very slowly on a loose leash. He does seem to be mildly limping. Sociability: initially he was avoidant. He was mostly interested in sniffing, he avoided eye contact and did not solicit attention. He started to take treats from me. In the yard, he came over to me and I gave him treats. He mostly takes treats gently but can be snatchy at times. He did some paw lifting. He started to warm up as we spent more time together. He allowed to me pet him on the back and he was panting (it was hot), some lip licking, tail down but relaxed and ears down. When I attempted to move down his body towards his paws, he tensed up a bit but allowed it. Play: He light up when I presented a toy! He chased after both a stuffy and a tennis ball. he took possession and brought it to an area of the yard to chew on it. He did trade for treats. Dog Interaction: n/aReturn to Kennel: he walks slowly through the kennels. He put the breaks on about 6 feet from the kennel. I used that as an opportunity to clip his leash. I then showed him a treat and he followed it right into the kennel. Color Level: experienced gold Recommendations and considerations:
