Should Jordan's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Meet Jordan!

Jordan is a sweet, affectionate senior lady who is looking for a calm and loving forever home. She has a low to medium energy level, making her the perfect companion for someone who wants a relaxed, devoted friend to share quiet moments, gentle walks, and cozy snuggles. Jordan absolutely loves attention-she leans right in for pets, scratches, belly rubs, and even enjoys curling up in your lap for some extra cuddles. While she adores affection, she also has a playful side and enjoys exploring the yard, playing with toys, and running around at her own pace. Volunteers have seen her chase after toys, fetch, and enjoy gentle playtime, all while staying sweet, polite, and well-mannered.

Jordan is friendly and social with both people and other dogs. She greets new friends politely, walks beautifully on leash, and moves through her surroundings with curiosity and confidence. She's been described as a "sweet, calm girl" and a "little cuddlebug" who will happily offer soft kisses and lean in for love. She truly shines in quiet, structured settings where she can explore at her own pace, enjoy gentle play, and soak in affection from her people.

This loving lady is perfect for a home that appreciates a gentle, devoted companion. Jordan is patient, kind, and eager to be a part of your life, whether that means leisurely walks, snuggles on the couch, or simply being a comforting presence by your side. She would thrive in a calm, patient home that can give her the love, attention, and security she deserves, and in return, she will bring unwavering loyalty, warmth, and quiet joy to every day.

Jordan is the kind of senior sweetheart who makes every moment brighter with her soft eyes, gentle nature, and loving heart. She's ready to meet her perfect family and start a new chapter filled with love, comfort, and companionship.

During her second walk on March 11th, Jordan showed a low to medium energy level with no behavioral issues. Her handler noted she was "very sweet" and "leaned in for lots of pets and scratches," and even "played a little in the yard, just running around with us."

Per day trip 3/10: Hello, I had such a great time with Jordan, She was perfect

Per staff 3/11/26: Jordan (ACCT-A-244685) came to ACCT Philly after being found as a stray. The finder reported they were unable to keep her and brought her to the shelter so she could get help. At intake, Jordan was described as friendly but scared, and she allowed handling while appearing understandably nervous in the unfamiliar environment.

Since arriving, Jordan has been evaluated by the veterinary team for significant skin and ear concerns. She presented with notable hair loss, irritated skin, and inflamed ears with a yeast infection, and she is currently receiving treatment to help address these issues. Veterinary staff suspect her skin condition may be related to allergies and color dilution alopecia with secondary infections. Jordan is also overweight and will benefit from a consistent routine, proper nutrition, and ongoing veterinary care. Despite her discomfort, Jordan has remained bright, alert, and tolerant of handling.

Behaviorally, Jordan has shown encouraging signs around both people and other dogs. In playgroup testing she displayed relaxed body language with soft eyes and mid-level tail wags, greeting other dogs appropriately and calmly mingling in the yard. She has also participated in enrichment activities and even enjoyed a recent day trip, giving her a chance to decompress outside the shelter environment. With continued care for her medical needs and a patient home willing to help her feel comfortable and heal, Jordan has the potential to thrive.

Per staff 3/11/26: Kennel Presentation: At the front of the kennel with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail wagging.

Leash Skills: Easy to leash and came right out of the kennel. Walks on a loose leash through the kennels with mid wagging tail, ears to the side and soft eyes. Pulled mildly when she saw another dog as we got outside.

Play: n/a

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
