Though she shares a name with one of the determined lovers from A Midsummer Night's Dream, this Hermia is less about running off into enchanted forests and more about running straight into your arms! With a heart as big as her future paws, she's ready to star in her very own happily-ever-after.
Hermia arrived at PAWS alongside her siblings as a surprise, so we're still discovering her personality as it unfolds. At around three months old, she's at a key stage in puppy development-learning about the world and building the skills she'll need to thrive. She would do wonderfully with a playful, social resident dog who can help guide her, or with an adopter prepared to invest in training and structured socialization to help her grow into a confident companion.
Hermia is also currently being treated for mild skin irritation and scabbing consistent with puppy pyoderma (that is not contagious to other dogs). So she is currently receiving treatment for that, and will be having her spay surgery soon.
She's already growing big and strong, and while her exact adult size is unknown, we expect she'll be a large dog once fully grown. No love potion required, Hermia is ready to write her own sweet comedy with a forever family by her side!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
