DESCRIPTION

Meet Garcon (ACCT-A-242826), the tiniest little pocket pittie piglet who's ready to waddle into your life! He was found as a stray tied to a pole on 2/10/2026 and has been an absolute delight since arriving at ACCT.

At just under 40lb, Garcon puts the fun in fun-sized. He loves snuggles, has the cutest freckly ears in the world, and takes treats super gently. He loves attention and would love to find a cozy couch to crash on!

Come meet him any time at ACCT Philly from 10am-6pm!

BEHAVIOR
Per volunteer 2/14/2026: I'm so obsessed with this little piglet!! He's the teeniest little pocket pittie who snorts and snuggles his way through the world. He loves cuddles, takes treats so nicely, and gets the cutest zoomies when he's excited. Truly a perfect little guy!

Behavior eval 2/14/2026:
Kennel Presentation: Garcon was in an I row crate. He jumped up on the door when I came over and then hopped off with a treat scatter inside the kennel. He tried to push his way out a bit, standing still when I held the door with my knee and easily leashed him.
Leash Skills: Minimal to moderate pulling through the kennels, trying to sniff/pick up treats off the ground.
Sociability: Sniffed around at first, then solicited pets and snuggles in the yard. Allowed me to boost him up onto the bench and loved cuddling into my lap. Very social and handler-oriented, takes treats very gently. Allowed all handling, including touching around the ears and playing bongos on his side (tested once I was comfortable with him because I knew someone with a small child was considering meeting him).
Play: Got excited by a squeaky toy, did not take possession. More interested in sniffing around and snuggles than anything.
Dog Interaction: Good fence meet with a small dog. Interested with a moderately loose body and high tail, disengaged after a few sniffs and walked away with a little leash pressure.
Return to Kennel: Walked right into crate.
Color Level: Green
Recommendations and considerations: N/A

Per APO 2/10/2026: Dog is social and allowed handling from APO.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
