What we know: Puppies transferred from the Animal Services Center of Mesilla Valley after the finder discovered them wandering near a gas station. Concerned they might be hit by a car, the finder brought them to the shelter but was unable to keep them. Came with the name Mike.
From the foster: Hi there! I'm Puppy 304, but my foster parents call me Jamie (short for Jameson Irish Whiskey). My fosters named my brother and I for St. Paddy's, and while he's the brave explorer, I'm the sweet cuddle bug of the pair.
My favorite place in the world is your lap. My fosters say I'm such a calm, loving little guy that I'll probably stay a lap dog no matter how big I get!
I'm still learning all the puppy basics. I try really hard to make it outside to go potty, and while I occasionally have little accidents, I'm getting better every day. Sometimes when I'm extra excited or a little nervous I might dribble a bit, but it's rare and my fosters think I'll grow out of it as I gain confidence.
I'm very respectful with other animals. The resident cats think I'm pretty sweet. I give them a gentle sniff and quickly back away if they hiss or warn me. I also do well meeting new dogs and people, and I'm great at taking cues when it's time to settle down.
Kids are my favorite! They're my size and so much fun to play with. I'm also just as happy curling up for a nap after the zoomies or fetch. I'm already retrieving my toys!
My foster parents think I'll be very easy to train because I'm such a natural follower and I really want to make my people happy.
