Looking for a calm, loving companion with a heart of gold?
Meet Sheba! She is one of our large, sweet senior dogs who’s ready to spend their golden years in a warm, loving home.
Older dogs come with so many wonderful perks. They’re past the puppy chaos and already know how to relax and enjoy the simple things—soft beds, gentle walks, and quality time with their people. This big sweetheart has a calm presence, loving manners, and so much gratitude to give to anyone willing to open their heart.
Why adopt a senior?
What you see is what you get—fully grown personality and size
Lower energy, great for relaxed households
Often already house-trained and well-mannered
Deeply loyal and incredibly affectionate
Seniors know when they’ve been given a second chance â¤ï ̧
This gentle soul isn’t looking for perfection—just a comfy spot to nap, some daily love, and a family to call their own. Adopting a senior means changing a life in the most meaningful way... and gaining a best friend who will cherish you every single day ✠̈We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
