This striking livestock guardian mixed breed (we suspect German Shepherd/Pyrenees/Anatolian) turns heads wherever he goes, but it's his kind, soulful nature that truly makes him unforgettable. Blackbeard came to us as a stray, found out in the woods, and it was clear he had been fending for himself for quite some time. Despite that, he has remained incredibly gentle, trusting, and full of quiet resilience.

Now safe and cared for, Blackbeard is steadily gaining weight and strength, looking healthier and more handsome by the day. More importantly, he's learning what it means to be loved -- and he's soaking it up with a soft, grateful heart.

Blackbeard is the definition of a gentle giant. He has a calm presence and an easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. Because of his size, he'll do best in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors comfortably. Apartment living just wouldn't give him the space he needs to thrive.

What Blackbeard truly deserves is a family who will show him the unconditional love he's likely gone without for far too long. In return, he'll offer unwavering loyalty, companionship, and a whole lot of love.
