🐾🩵 Biscotti!!
5 months
9-10 lbs
Mixed breed
Adoption Fee: $650
Came to rescue with mom and siblings. He was diagnosed with a PDA (patent ductus arteriosus) which is a congenital heart defect. A PDA is something that should have closed at birth, when the puppy is able to breathe air. Usually the first few breaths will close the duct- in a few cases this does not happen and intervention is needed for long term survival. Biscotti underwent endovascular occlusion of the PDA, 100% occlusion, so this is defect has been fixed! This surgery was about $7000 and unfortunately we only raised $383 toward this boy’s life saving procedure, good thing we have a medical fund!
Biscotti has age appropriate vaccines, neutered and chipped.
Biscotti lives with other dogs in his foster home. He is very social, walks on leash and is crate trained.
Doing well, not yet fully housetrained. He doesn’t mind a car rides but does occasionally get carsick.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
