Windago, also known as Inigo, has so many wonderful qualities. He is sweet, curious, clever, active, attentive, funny, and incredibly affectionate. He quickly bonds with his foster parents and happily glues himself to them throughout the day. He adores pets, belly rubs, and cuddles, and truly thrives on companionship.
He enjoys both physical and mental exercise. Inigo especially loves puzzle toys that dispense treats and is very food motivated, though he does not guard his food in any way. He has a soft mouth and loves carrying things around the house without ever destroying them. Most often, he walks proudly with a stuffy in his mouth — his favorite being a pink bunny toy.
His recall to a whistle is very good, and he is housetrained. He sleeps comfortably at night in a giant, Great Dane-sized crate and does not react negatively to sudden noises or being woken. While he can be excitable, he is not reactive. He has zero aggression and can be touched anywhere on his body, including his paws and tail, without concern.
Inigo is good with dogs of all sizes and is currently living with an older Great Dane in his foster home. He is respectful and has not even attempted to get on the older dog’s bed. Although he tries to invite play, he does not bully or overwhelm. He would do very well in a household looking to add a second dog. He also appears to enjoy agility-style activities, as he is attentive, watches for direction, and responds well. He is clever and has so much potential.
We are looking for a home with a fenced yard. Due to his size and his occasional jumping when excited, older children would be more suitable. We prefer a home where he will not be left alone for too long hours as he can become anxious without companionship.
ADOPTION FEE: $550.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
