Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

*Sex: F

*Age: 7 weeks (DOB 1/5/26)

*Weight: 9lbs and growing

*Medical Needs: Medical Needs: Remainder of puppy shots, and other vet recommended vaccines when age appropriate. Must be spayed by the end of July 2026. The spay appointment is included in the adoption fee at one of the clinics we use. The foster-to-adopt family will need to email GRR to request the appointment, when puppy is 16-18 weeks, at the clinic closest to them. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Georgetown.) Keeping the appointment that's assigned by the clinic will be a condition of adoption. Foster to adopt families must live within one hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.

*Housebroken: No. She's still a baby and needs frequent trips outside. She will use puppy pads most of the time.

*Crate trained: This is a work in progress. She is put in the crate when nobody is home and we also put her into the crate after being out/going potty/playing, just to get her used to the crate. At this point, she hates it!

*Good in the car: Yes. She just sits/lays in the seat.

*Good on a leash: She has no clue! She's young and needs training. She will follow her personal around the yard, so she'll learn with time.

*Energy level: Puppy energy, but it's not extreme. Play, nap, play, nap...

*Need a fenced in yard: No.

*Dog Friendly: Yes, very!

*If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No

*Cat Friendly: Yes. They're a little scary to her right now.

*Kid Friendly: Yes.

*If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age. She's still a puppy with sharp teeth and is a bit jumpy, so she'll need good supervision around kids.

*Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them: Drambuie is a sweet puppy who's mom came to us carrying an unknown package, so she was lucky to be born into a very warm and loving environment. Booie, as we call her, is growing and learning everyday and is a pretty easy-going puppy. She's easy to pick up and carry around, if needed. She's learning to navigate steps, play with toys, and potty outside. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle on the couch with someone. If you're up for some puppy love and have the time and energy that it takes to raise up a wonderful companion, Drambuie might be your perfect match!
