Geno's foster parent: "This sweet boy has been in my neighborhood for a while, and I've watched him struggle quietly. When I first saw him months ago, he had a long, beautiful coat. Then he disappeared for a bit... and when he came back, much of his fur was gone and he was clearly uncomfortable, itchy, and losing weight. Still, he never lost his gentle spirit.
I tried a few times to get him to come to me, and he would run off. But the moment I knelt down the other day, he ran straight over and melted into me like he had been waiting for someone to see him.
He let me give him a bath without a single fuss. He stood there patient, soaking it all in. He lets me roll him onto his back, rub his belly, touch his paws-whatever I need to do. He is pure puppy energy, so loving, eager to please, and clearly very smart. He just wants to be loved.
Despite everything he's been through, GENO is happy, affectionate, and full of hope. He reminds me so much of Falkor from The NeverEnding Story-that soulful look, that gentle strength, and that quiet magic.
His personality is EVERYTHING. Whoever adopts him is going to get a loyal, loving best friend.
This boy has survived the streets, the cold, and being overlooked-but he never stopped trusting people. Let's make sure his story gets the happy ending he deserves. "
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
