Cleveland was a part of playgroup on 12/30/25. He can be barrier reactive. He was friendly, social, and playful. He has a rough and rowdy playstyle. He is very goofy and doesn't realize how big he is. He also was tolerant of the other big male trying to test him.
Meet Cleveland
MAS Animal ID: 51614
Cleveland is a high-energy, big-hearted adventure buddy who's equal parts playful goofball and loving companion. He's house-trained, knows sit, wait, and down, and loves being outside running and sniffing just as much as he enjoys curling up in cozy spots with his people (sometimes ones that are way too small for him-very funny, very on brand).
He's generally sweet and social with other dogs, but his play style is rowdy and physical. He's done well with both small and large dogs, though he can overwhelm smaller pups at times. He does respond when another dog signals they've had enough and usually follows up with kisses. Expect some classic pitty play noises-they sound wild, but they mean fun.
Cleveland is not a good fit for a home with cats, as he becomes overly excited and mouthy around them. He's been friendly with women and has reacted well to men he's met on walks. He hasn't been around children yet, and due to his strength and energy, a home without young kids or with thoughtful introductions is best.
On leash, he does best with a harness. He can get anxious when left alone with pent-up energy, likely related to his shelter experience, but he's already improving as he settles in and feels safer.
Cleveland would thrive with active, outdoorsy adopters who can give him plenty of exercise, structure, and love. He's a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
