3/20/26: I took Bella out for photos today with a visiting photographer. She is a shy, sweet little thing! She was pretty timid but crawled her way over to me and allowed me to leash her. She walked quickly to the photo room and seemed startled by the dogs barking in their kennels. Once in the room, she tried to climb straight into the photographer's lap. She had her ears to the side ("airplane ears") which indicates that she was nervous but enjoyed getting pets and seemed to relax the more we spent time with her.
She has a lot of urine stains on her back legs and hind, which makes us think she may have been kept in a kennel for an extended period of time. She could use a bath and some TLC, but seems like she would be an affectionate and loving family member. Very good girl.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
