Edgar - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Edgar is a tail wagging 6 month old boy. He is around 25 lbs and he is a tripod. Edgar was found as a stray in Alabama with a badly broken leg that required amputation. Having 3 legs does not slow this boy down! Edgar takes a minute to warm up to new people but when he does, he shows you what true love is. Edgar loves soaking up snuggles and is happy to take a nap with his head in your lap. He is great with other dogs; he does need a calm first meeting so he knows he is safe. Once he makes friends he runs around with his new buddies. Edgar hasn't decided yet what his favorite toy is and he enjoys exploring all toys in the toy box. One thing he does know is that frozen kongs are amazing! We are working on some house manners like jumping; he just wants to see everything and get all the pets. Edgar mostly ignores the cats but if they come by him he gives them a sniff and a kiss. Since Edgar has 3 legs his new family will need to have some equipment to help him be successful (examples: rugs, harness with a handle, supportive dog bed, raised food dishes that don't slip, ramps). Edgar has not had an accident in the house and has figured out how to go up and down the outdoor steps. He sleeps in a crate without a peep but I'm quite certain he wouldn't mind sharing the bed with his family. Edgar is a sweet, cuddly, love bug that is looking for his forever home!

Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 9mo)

Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $375. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $450. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $275. Our adoption fee for bonded adult dogs is $550.
