DESCRIPTION
Meet Rocky! He is a 6-month-old very handsome medium-sized boy, weighing around 30 pounds and still growing, who's ready to find a loving home to call his own. He came to us after an accidental litter when his previous owner was unable to find him a home, and he's been patiently waiting since 5/2/2026 for his chance at a fresh start.
Rocky is the sweetest boy with a gentle and loving personality. He has been understandably overwhelmed here at the shelter with all the recent changes, so he may take some time to adjust to a new environment. He would benefit from a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to give him all the time he needs to settle in and feel safe. Once he's comfortable, his sweet nature is sure to shine.
We recommend a home with older children, and all family members should meet him prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Rocky has done well with other dogs so far and may enjoy having a canine companion.
Rocky is a wonderful young dog who is ready to share his love with the right family. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you're interested in meeting Rocky or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
