This big fella weighs in right around 85 lbs and is the very definition of a gentle giant. He is a senior guy who maybe has not always had the easiest life. He loves snuggling on the couch, snooring at top volume, and mostly likes to keep to himself. He is potty trained, neutered, and has lived with both dogs and cats before.
Goliath did come into rescue under some tough circumstances. He is currently being treated for heartworm disease and a severe allergic reaction left his skin raw and itchy. We have completed allergy testing and luckily his biggest allergy is an easy one to control! He is allergic to storage mites and dust mites. By keeping his kibble in the freezer and keeping a tidy home we can easily keep this guy's allergies at bay.
Heartworm treatment is fully covered by Happy Feet Pet Rescue and while Goliath can be adopted during his treatment, we do recommend adopters be local to the Lansing area for ease of transporting to and from vet visits.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
