Meet Rocky! Recently Rocky was found as a stray and brought to our Marathon Campus. Eventually Rocky's owners did come to the shelter, but confided in our staff that they were no longer able to care for Rocky, and as a senior dog, they wanted him to have the best Golden years possible. So, sadly, Rocky was surrendered to give him a second chance. He was adopted in December, but recently returned at no fault of his own. We would love to find this sweet senior a final furever home!
Rocky is 11 years old, but physically he's in great shape! This boy has plenty of pep in his step and still loves going for daily walks or chewing on a good treat. He's the perfect medium size at 45 pounds and has the most adorable ears and goofy facial expressions ever! Rocky loves to cuddle and give "hugs". All he wants is someone to love him, and to give all of his love to someone in return.
Rocky is a part of our Golden Paw program which means his lucky adopter will receive all of the following benefits:
· All adoption fees are WAIVED (along with all animals in December)
· Senior bloodwork panel prior to adoption.
· Complimentary Wellness Exam including vaccines at our Dogwood Clinic 1 year after adoption!
· 10% off future services at our Wellness Clinic!
Meet Rocky today at our Marathon Campus!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
