If you're looking for a happy, energetic sidekick to keep life fun and full of adventure, Memphis might be your perfect match.
Memphis loves to attend playgroups at the shelter with all his doggie friends where he is the star of the show! He's a 1-year-old boy weighing 51 pounds - a great age and size for an active family looking for a playful companion. He thinks cats are a little too interesting, so a feline-free home would be the perfect fit!
Memphis has that classic young-dog enthusiasm. He loves to stay active, enjoys walks and runs, and thrives when he has outlets for his playful energy. He's very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Memphis walks nicely on leash overall, responds well to guidance, and with a little continued work on manners and obedience, he's sure to shine. His foster reports that he is house trained and crate trained and loves to get outdoors and explore!
Friendly, affectionate, and full of wiggles, Memphis is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes. He warms up quickly, loves attention, and approaches new experiences with curiosity and confidence. Memphis would thrive with an active family who can provide regular exercise, continued training, and plenty of time together for both adventures and cuddle time. Because of his spirited personality, Memphis may thrive best with older kids who can join him in their playful adventures.
Memphis is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and his adoption fee is waived, making this the perfect time to help him start his happily-ever-after. Memphis is living in a foster home. If you would like to meet him please email foster@kcpetproject.org ...
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
