Archer is fairly young, but he’s already been a hero—he was a blood donor and helped save another dog’s life! Pretty impressive considering this handsome boy was found abandoned in a vet clinic parking lot. Archer is a strong dog who didn’t have much leash experience before coming to ACPS, so he’ll need a person who is up for the challenge and willing to work on some training. But there’s lots of potential here as he’s very sweet, easily attaches to one person and is very motivated by praise, petting, and CHEESE! He shows signs of being housebroken, too, so we feel that once out of the shelter he’ll remember pretty fast. Archer loves to sniff and explore, so if that’s your jam, we think he’ll make a good adventure buddy!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
