Meet Lulu! Lulu is approximately 2 years old, 13 lbs and she may have some terrier or dachshund in her mix. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training and crate training, but she has not been walked on leash yet. She is very shy and needs a patient adopter. A fenced yard would be preferred!
She could join households with kids 10+ and other dogs. No apartments, please!
Her foster says: "Lulu's story didn't begin the way every dog deserves. She was born into a hoarding situation and missed out on the love, stability, and security that every puppy should know. Despite her heartbreaking past, she amazes me more and more each day. Watching Lulu slowly come out of her shell has been such a beautiful experience. Every little milestone is a victory, and it's impossible not to cheer her on.
Lulu would do wonderfully in a quiet home, especially with someone who works from home or is home often. She is as quiet as a mouse and is perfectly content to sit beside you while you work or relax. She has such a gentle, peaceful presence and is simply happy to be near the people she loves. She doesn't ask for muchjust patience, kindness, and affection. In return, she'll soak up every bit of love you're willing to give.
Once Lulu realizes she can trust you, she becomes an easy and wonderful companion. Because she's still timid and startles easily, I believe a home with a securely fenced yard would be the best fit for her. She crates beautifully for travel and while she currently prefers sleeping on the couch, she's becoming more curious and confident every day. I truly believe that once Lulu realizes she's finally home and safe, she will continue to thrive and blossom
into the incredible dog she's meant to be.
Lulu is so deserving of a person or family to call her own. If you have a patient heart and are looking for a loyal companion, Lulu is waiting to show you just how special she is."
