Pretty Palomino is a 5-almost-6-month-old puppy, currently around 30 pounds, and she is as sweet as they come. She has a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and cozy downtime, loving to play hard and then settle in for a good nap.
She enjoys balls, playing tug, chewing on sticks, and soaking up affection from her people. Pretty Palomino is very people-friendly and recently showed just how social she is during a trip to Lowe's, where she was happy to meet people of all ages and backgrounds. She was curious and friendly without being pushy or overly pull-y on leash.
On walks, she does not pull, though she sometimes needs gentle encouragement when changing directions, going through doorways, or stepping onto new types of flooring. As a young pup, she is still building confidence, and she responds well to patient guidance.
Pretty Palomino knows how to sit for treats and responds easily to "drop it." She is gaining comfort with the crate and will go in and sit nicely for a treat, though she will benefit from a home that can continue helping her acclimate to crate time in a positive way. However, she's making great progress in her foster home!
She is good with kids and currently lives with an older child in the home. Pretty Palomino would thrive with a family ready to support her continued learning, confidence building, and love of play and affection. She is a joyful, gentle puppy with so much potential and love to give.
As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.
To meet PP, contact her foster family at (919) 334-8383 to make an appointment!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
