Jewel came into rescue with her three newborn puppies. Now that she has finished raising her puppies, she is ready to find a home of her own. Jewel is very playful and energetic! She loves playing with the two resident dogs in her foster home, wrestling and chasing them around the yard. She gets along with the resident cats, but is sometimes too playful for them. She also enjoys playing with toys and bones, and playing fetch.
Since Jewel is young, she still has a lot of puppy energy. She is working on learning manners like not jumping on people. Jewel is also pretty vocal. She likes to watch out the window and will bark to alert you of anything suspicious!
Jewel can be a little shy with new people and places. But she is very affectionate with her people. Once she knows you, she loves to be near you and cuddle with you and give you kisses. She is kennel trained and will sleep in her kennel all night, although she sometimes needs bribing to go into her kennel.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
