Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

ACORN

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Georgetown, Texas
March 23rd
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Acorn is a 3-year-old little gentleman, with plenty of personality!

Acorn is funny, goofy, and obedient, the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with his silly moments while still being a well-mannered companion. He's house trained, comes when called, and loves being around his people. Cookie is also very affectionate and happy to soak up all the pets and attention you're willing to give.

In his previous home, Acorn lived with other dogs and did well, though we do recommend a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy best friend, Acorn might just be the perfect treat for your home.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.

In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on "Foster Questionnaire."

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.

We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
