He's the sweetest little guy. He LOVES people and attached to us very quickly. Total lap snuggler/little spoon who will claim a spot on your couch in a second. He does well in his crate, though the first couple minutes when he comes out, he's very high energy. It wears off quickly. No potty accidents so far and he's even started to stand by the door when he needs to go outside. He's insanely food motivated (obsessed?), probably because he knows he needs to gain a few pounds. We're working on slowing down his eating so he doesn't vacuum up the whole bowl in 10 seconds. He's learning to patiently sit and wait then take cookies gently. He sleeps well all night and likes to nap during the day in whichever room you are in. He's curious when I cook and wants to be in the kitchen with me but doesn't beg or steal (though with his food obsession, he might). Walks very well on a leash with little stopping and sniffing. We've done 2-3 miles each walk and I think he'd go forever without complaining. He's a great exercise buddy and might even make a good runner with some practice! No zig-zagging and generally stays on the side you put him on. He did pull toward a few dogs and a cat we saw on this afternoon's walk, but he got over it quickly and moved on. I've only seen/heard him bark three times in three days--once at a traffic cone that was moving slightly in the wind, once at a bag blowing around my yard, and once at some perfectly still garbage cans on a nighttime walk. He was also on guard when we passed some plants covered in sheets but didn't bark. Might be a little scared of some of his surroundings. Wonderful little lovebug that wants so badly to be a good boy.
