Mildred - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fredericksburg, Virginia

MILDRED

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Fredericksburg, Virginia
September 14th
female, small, senior

DESCRIPTION

Meet Mildred!

Mildred is a sweet senior girl looking for something simple: a quiet, comfortable home, some cozy pillows, and a person who appreciates the slower pace of life. After arriving as an emaciated stray, Mildred has been working hard on gaining weight and is doing well, though she still has a few more ounces to gain.

- Dog friendly and has been fostered with a variety of dogs
- Likely to do well with cats and generally won't bother them
- Probably kid compatible, but she's more of a quiet companion than a playmate
- Crates quietly for meals and sleeping
- Loves to burrow under blankets at night
- May need a middle-of-the-night potty break and will softly whine to let you know
- Enjoys nice, slow-paced walks
- Excellent stroller companion
- Has a cloudy eye but does have vision and will follow her person
- Appears to have limited hearing or may be deaf
- Has made great progress gaining weight since arriving and still needs a little more

Mildred isn't looking for an action-packed lifestyle. She's looking for a soft place to land, comfortable naps, leisurely strolls, and someone who will cherish her golden years. If you're looking for a gentle senior companion to share the quiet moments with, Mildred may be your girl.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
