Meet Irv - part dog, part possum, part lion... all attitude, all heart
If you've ever wondered what would happen if a dog, a possum, and a tiny lion got tossed into a blender set to "chaos," the answer is Irv. At 9 years old and a mighty 9 lbs, this little man is serving mythical creature realness everywhere he goes.
Before joining the Squishy Face Crew, Irv was found living under a house with six other dogs, basically running their own underground society. They were feral, fearful, and absolutely not taking applications for human friendship. And to make things worse, Irv was dealing with a mouthful of broken teeth and a broken jaw. He was hurting, scared, and doing his best possum impression: "If I look fierce enough, maybe they'll leave me alone."
Fastforward to today, and Irv has discovered the good life - and he has zero intention of going back. His teeth have been removed, his jaw has been repaired, and he is feeling fantastic. In fact, he now enjoys putting on a big toughguy act while "puppy guarding" his foster mom. But much like a possum, it's mostly bluff. The scariest thing he can do is gum you gently until you reconsider your life choices.
He also has a fullblown Napoleon complex, which is honestly impossible not to laugh at. Irv's favorite spot in the house is his person's lap, and he would prefer not to share, thank you very much. But despite his dramatic declarations of lap ownership, he navigates the resident pack like a pro and can often be caught letting loose and playing with the other small dogs and even the cats.
