Flo Jo will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one-event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs.

Flo Jo is an 8-week-old Redbone Coonhound/Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger cuddle game. This sweet Olympic pup is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog around 40-50 pounds - the perfect size for adventures and couch snuggles.

Flo Jo's personality is the best mix of playful, curious, and confident (without being too bold). She has classic puppy zoomies for about 30 minutes, then happily crashes for a nap or curls up in your lap for some serious snuggle time. If you sit down, don't be surprised if she plops herself right on you - cuddling is one of her favorite sports.

She's incredibly smart and very food-motivated, which makes her a dream to train. Flo Jo is already working on crate training, clicker training, and learning "sit," and she's picking things up quickly. Potty training and crate training are going really well, and she's almost sleeping through the night. She has been getting along wonderfully with kids and other dogs in her foster home.

Flo Jo is also getting a great start on life in a home. She's been exposed to everyday household sights and sounds - like the vacuum, mop, and dishwasher - and has handled them all like a champ. Her confidence and adaptability make her an excellent fit for a busy, loving home.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, playful puppy who's eager to learn and loves being close to her people, Flo Jo may be your gold-medal match.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
