Tongue-out Tuesday? For Ruby, it's tongue-out all day, every day; it's especially cute
when she is sleeping and her tongue is on the floor.
Rhubarb, who we have come to know and love as "Ruby", is awaiting her new leash on life in a foster home!
One of our lovely volunteer dog walkers could not help but fall in love with her, and offer sweet Ruby a place to stay while she worked through a weight loss journey and improving her skin and coat health. These days, Ruby is looking trimmer, shinier and healthier, all thanks to our clinic team and her amazing foster mom. Now? She just needs a permanent home to call her own!
This is some of what her foster mom had to say: "Ruby is a fantastic lump. She loves meeting new people, especially if they give her pets
or have a toy to play with. She has had a few visits with my grandchildren, ages 1, 2
and 4 and did well, even giving the baby kisses."
Ruby currently lives with other dogs, and has done well. She is a bit of a couch potato, rather than a play-all-day companion for another dog, though. She walks politely on a leash, and everyone is amazed at how calm, lovable and easygoing she is.
Interested in being the "lucky dog" to adopt miss Ruby? Please send us an email at adoptions@lollypop.org to set up a time to meet with her.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
