DESCRIPTION
Looking for a big buddy best friend? Jerry is your dream come true!
Jerry came to Lollypop Farm from a less than ideal situation, and was rescued by one of our volunteers, who then became is loving foster. Now that he has been vetted, microchipped, and gotten his bearings, he is ready to find his next adventure from the comfort of his foster home.
Jerry's foster reports that he is a big baby and loves nothing more than to shadow your day and be passively involved in whatever life brings him.
Jerry is happy to greet you with some couch snuggles or fetch when you're done with the work day or with class, or whatever life throws your way.
Jerry has been living and learning from his foster family and has some work to do with leash skills, but he definitely is making strides! He has done well with guests who are sensitive to a dog's needs, as Jerry is timid at first, and because of his size can be a little intimidating. Jerry tends to warm up quickly to those who can embrace his slobberly, sweet self in his time.
He is also currently living with another dog in his foster home, and does well for everything but sharing food and toys. If you're dedicated to feeding everyone separately and keeping a close eye on belongings, Jerry would be happy to meet your resident dog to see if they hit it off!
While he isn't "crate-trained", he is left free in the home while the foster is away and reportedly does well. The foster reports that he is doing well with potty training and letting them know when he has to go potty.
If you're interested in adding a lovely lug to your home please email Jerry's friend Nicole at nratliff@lollypop.org
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
