Meet Phoenix!
Phoenix is a playful, friendly pup who brings so much joy to the people around him. He loves being involved in whatever his humans are doing and has a fun, goofy side—whether he’s tossing toys around, exploring, or getting the zoomies.
Phoenix is very affectionate with his family and has done wonderfully with children. He’s social, curious, and loves being part of the action. He can be a little cautious when new people approach his favorite person, but with a gentle intro he settles in well.
He’s smart, responsive, and loves positive interaction—he’ll happily check in with you when you snap your fingers and his tail starts wagging right away. Phoenix is sensitive, too, especially with his skin and paws, and he appreciates someone who can go at his pace for things like nail trims.
Phoenix would thrive in a home that enjoys a playful companion, appreciates his loyal and loving nature, and can help him continue building confidence. He’s not an aggressive dog—just a sweet, spirited boy looking for a home that understands him.

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff.

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
