Louella - in foster! - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

Louella is an adorable puppy, looking for a home that can offer her the structure, support, and love that she needs to blossom into an upstanding canine citizen. Don’t let her current petite size (18lbs) fool you – she’s got a lot of growing left to do! Louella would benefit from a home offering slow, low-pressure approach to new interactions and experiences. Once she’s comfortable with her new family, she may appreciate attending puppy classes with you to help build your bond and spend time socializing with other pups too!

Louella has spent time with one of our amazing fosters, who had this to say about her: "She is a timid girl, but she is now feeling more relaxed. We have found that she has a gentle personality and prefers a calm, positive approach. She is curious and can be playful when she feels comfortable. She has done well meeting a cat and a couple of dogs during our walks. She has also met my baby nephew and seemed intrigued by such a small person.

She is now almost fully potty trained, and she has started enjoying her walks... When she is on a leash, she walks behind her person. She would do well with a patient person or family who is willing to wait for her to flourish."
