DESCRIPTION
Formally introducing Lacey!
I've been fostering Lacey for Upper Valley Humane Society as she undergoes treatment for heartworm. She just tested negative!!
Here's what I've learned while living with Lacey for the past couple of months...
Snuggly and people social
Fully potty trained
Loves spending time outdoors
Does well both loose in the house and crated
Rides well crated or buckled in the car
Sleeps through the night crated, loose, or cozy in bed with her people
Very food motivated and enjoys toys as well
Medium energy
Knows a few basic skills and LOVES to train
Ms. Lacey is approximately 4 years old and has spent the majority of her life as a loved, companion house dog. She's honestly been incredibly easy to live with!
She does very well with a mix of activity and downtime. She's truly down for both a good adventure and a good snuggle!
Her challenges?
She's a part time counter surfer which has been easily managed with removing food from reach and well timed recall
She's not a good candidate for homes with small animals
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
