Darling Dixie has just arrived from a partner rescue, in the hopes of finding a wonderful home!!

Dixie is a very friendly, social gal. She’s energetic, loving, and beautiful all rolled into one! If you are looking for a walking buddy now that the weather is finally gorgeous- Dixie might just be the perfect choice! We are unsure of her history with other dogs or cats, so head on in to spend time with Dixie today!

No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption.

If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.

Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
