Locket came to us when her owners were moving, and couldn't take her along.
We are thrilled to have this sweet little girl with us, while we get to know her, and find her a new loving home. She is initially shy and timid, but very curious, and warms up quickly. She loves to snuggle, but is also an active puppy. She has lived with other dogs and cats, and did well with them. She has been around older kids, and enjoyed playing with them. We feel she might be ok with younger children, if they are calm and quiet, not rambunctious.
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Locket's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Locket.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
