DESCRIPTION

Sassy A182059
54 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old

This pretty lady is super sociable and loving!
She loves pets and being close
Flips over for belly rubs whenever she can
She "talks" in typical Husky fashion occasionally
Likes treats, sits and takes them gently
She also knows "up" and shows off, while sitting with her paws in the air, for a snack.
She's fun and playful but also settles in nicely for snuggles
She can pull on walks a little but nothing horrible
Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

**She came in with Tonka! They absolutely love, love running and playing together! They get along really well. They are super tolerant of each other and their crazy antics. Sassy will grab Tonka's tail while running and he is totally fine with it. He turns around and chases her too. She had a treat....he ran over....she dropped it and picked it back up and he just stood there waiting. They are silly and perfect together! If anyone has the space to adopt these two big dogs, we would love to keep them together!

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
