Loretta Swift A181566
62 lbs. spayed female, approx 1 year
Loretta, lovingly called Lola in her foster home, is a sweet girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people.
- Lola came to the shelter as a stray from Detroit with an old injury to her right rear leg. Thanks to the caring team at the shelter, she received FHO surgery on 2/4/26 at an outside vet to repair it. She's recovering beautifully and is already able to enjoy short walks.
- She walks nicely on a leash, is treat-motivated, and listens well. While out and about, she is calm and not reactive to other dogs she sees.
- Lola is dog friendly, kid friendly, and even lived with a cat in her first foster home. In her current foster home, she shares space with a 32-pound male cattle dog mix who likes to boss her around--and she handles it like a champ.
- At about 62 pounds, Lola is a bigger girl who is convinced she's actually a lap dog. She's a true Velcro pup who loves being close to her people.
- She is potty trained and will politely ring a bell or whine at the door when she needs to go outside.
- Once she's fully healed, Lola would thrive with an active family. She's still a young dog with a few puppy tendencies, so regular exercise and activities will help her burn off energy and keep her happy.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, Lola might be your girl πΆπ
